Lewis Vadeboncoeur

Lewis (Louie) Vadeboncoeur, 77, passed away on December 20, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Carole (Bezanson) Vadeboncoeur.
Born in Haverhill on January 8, 1948, he was the son of the late William and Grace (Leslie) Vadeboncoeur.
Louie attended Haverhill Trade School and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served a tour in Viet Nam at Khe Sanh Combat Base as an artillery man during the siege. He was honorably discharged in 1969 after four years of service. Louie enjoyed using his skills at hands-on-jobs. The two most recent were as a foreman at Cambridgeport Air Systems where he was proud to have been elected to the contract negotiating team by his co-workers, and as a service technician at Coastal Industries, Haverhill, where he retired in 2015. Louie and his family enjoyed many years of seasonal camping at Forest Glen Campground in Lee, NH. He also enjoyed the comradery while paying cards as a member of the Great Lowell Eastern Poker Tour.
Besides his wife of 53 years, Louie is survived by his family; sons, Scott Vadeboncoeur of Haverhill, Bryan (Lori) Vadeboncoeur of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Cary (Amber) Cumings, IV, of PA, Christopher (Jess) Vadeboncoeur of Derry, NH, Quinn (John, IV) Williamson of TX; great grandchildren, Iliana, and twins Celia and Cary, V; siblings, Frank, Robert (Karen), Norman (Ann), Carol (David) Sullivan and Doris Vadeboncoeur. He leaves his mother-in-law, Lorraine (Charles) Bezanson; sisters-in-law Diane (Mike) Welch to whom he was a devoted care giver, Cathy (Larry) Twomey and brother-in-law Paul (Joanne) Bezanson. His extended family includes many nieces and nephews, many of whom he was close to. Louie was the brother of the late Patricia Hileman, William Jr., Ralph, Russell and Dennis Vadeboncoeur.
