Edward Frank Sherer

Edward F. Sherer passed away on August 13th, 2019, in Las Vegas. Ed was born in Providence, RI to Rodney and Nan Sherer on February 26, 1943.

Ed was an avid sports enthusiast and runner, U.S. Marine Corps Captain, Vietnam Veteran, American Patriot, and prominent Patent Attorney at Exxon. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and father, a man of few words or material possessions. He always paid attention, challenged your thinking, was a bit quirky, an animal lover, trusting, generous, not afraid to be alone, and had equal parts of messy and intellect.

Ed is preceded in death by Rodney and Nan Sherer and his son Edward “Ned” Sherer III.

He is survived by his sister, Alice S. Vermette, Robert E. Vermette (brother-in-law), several nieces and nephews and their families, and his beloved canine companion Ginger.
