Harry Thomas Quay

June 20, 1946 — April 9, 2025

Harry “Hat” Thomas Quay of Alliance, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on June 20, 1946, to the late Delbert and Eleatha (Scott) Quay. Harry graduated from Alliance High School in 1966.

He served in the Marine Corps 3rd Bn 26th Marine Lima Company for two years while being stationed in Khe Sanh in the Republic Of Vietnam. He received several accommodations for his extraordinary heroism in action to include Presidential Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1*, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device and the Purple Heart. He was a Lifetime member of B.P.O. Elks 467, American Legion Post 76, VFW, and Stonecold Motorcycle Club.

Harry was married to Loma (Clough) Quay for 55 years, having wed on January 24, 1970. Together, they raised two daughters, Stephanie Quay and Abbey Leonard (Darren Cugini). Harry was proud of his family and loved being a grandpa to Ashley Stolicny (Chris), Quardell Quay, and Jarek Leonard and great grandchildren Christopher Stolicny Jr. and Genesis Stolicny. He is also survived by his brother Harvey (Dale) Karp of Kearny, N.J., special aunt Elaine Marth, of Lakemore, F.L., several cousins and special family member Jason Leonard.
