Billy Dean Martin

Billy Dean Martin (Bill) was born July 8, 1932, in Dallas to Lorene and Henry Newton Martin and died October 28, 2024.

Bill graduated from Sunset High School in 1950. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in November 1950 and retired in November 1970. He was a Vietnam veteran. Bill retired from Sears Roebuck in 1987, at which time he became self-employed in financial services and tax preparation.

Bill was dedicated to a 12-Step fellowship, the Marine Corps League, and the DFW Honor Guard, participating in over 1,200 funerals for veterans of all services. Bill helped many and will be well remembered.

Bill was preceded in death by his son Mark and his daughter Pamela Judith Lau.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy; daughter Lori Martin, son Ed Cartwright and wife Karen, daughter Dee Privitt and husband Joe, son Kenneth and wife Glenda, son Billy; his brother Kenneth and wife Rebecca; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
