Edward M. Landry

Edward M. Landry, 75, of Lynn, died Friday April 14, 2023, after a brief illness. Born in Lynn to the late Phelecia Horgan, Edward graduated from Lynn Classical High School and then attended Suffolk University. He was married for 50 years to Bette (Stackhouse) Landry.
Edward served the US Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was a member of the 1st Marine Division who fought in the battles of Khe Sanh and Hue City as well as many others.
Edward worked as a personnel clerk for the United States Postal Service, at the Western Ave, Willow St. and Maple St. Lynn Post Offices. He also served as the President of the APWU Union Lynn Branch. He was a member of AOH Hibernian Hall in Lynn, the American Legion, VFW Post 1240 Swampscott, Vietnam Veteran’s Association, as well as a lifetime member of the 1st Marine Division.
Edward is survived by his wife Bette of Lynn, son Brian Landry and his wife Ana of Ipswich, son Daniel Landry of Lynn, daughter Ellen Landry of Lynn, his grandchildren; Moira Landry of Salem, Eamonn and Colm Landry of Ipswich, Elza and Daniella Landry of Lynn, his brother Thomas Horgan of Acton, ME, brother Brian “Skippy” Landry and his wife Trish of Swannanoa, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, his son Brendon Landry, and his sister-in-law Dawn Horgan.
