KSV News: Short Round 035
What’s Next?
As our band of Khe Sanh Brothers glides gracefully (well- sorta) into our 80th year of surviving, one thing is becoming abundantly clear: “Looks like none of us are gettin’ outta here alive”.
So, when our lights go out, what happens with our Khe San Veterans organization?? This is a discussion every member needs to have with our Board members and Officers.
At present, we have a kick ass web site (khesanh.vet) that rivals anything out there. If fact, it is likely the best source for first person, contemporaneous Khe Sanh battle facts and observations- anywhere! This largely because every single Red Clay article and letter (and a whole lot more) is accessible there by powerful, but easy, digital search.
Beyond our web site (which I and my daughter-in-law have assured will be on line for at least a couple more decades) what will become of the organization?
Consider this: How many of you have chatted with your children (grand and otherwise) about your Khe Sanh legacy? And have helped them to become Legacy members of KSV (easy peasy- just ask)? Maybe even attend a reunion with you. And then, down the road, maybe they might consider taking over the reigns of our organization to allow it to survive?
Our plans and goals for the future of our KSV legacy must be determined by our members. And, with the clock still ticking, pretty urgently. Every member should send an email with your guidance for our future to: admin@khesanh.vet Attn: Board Of Directors.
Onward!
