KSV News: Short Round 027
We just received the attached document from:
United States Marine Corps
Marine Corps University
Marine Corps History Division
Quantico, VA
It is the Deed Of Gift for every single Red Clay Magazine ever produced!!! Along with many associated articles and related materials in the collection. Basically, pretty much everything ever produced and printed by The Khe Sanh Veterans.
This Deed turns over “ownership” of our vast collection to the USMC History Division in Quantico. Here the collection will be placed among the formal USMC History Archives for perpetuity (like forever). Our KSV collection contains probably the largest collection of first person, contemporaneous Khe Sanh related articles anywhere.
This collection of Magazines and associated documents will be available to families, researchers, historians and Marines for study and research for perpetuity. A link to the site: grc-usmcu.libguides.com/marine-corps-archives/main
This accomplishment honors the dedication and hard work of of the editors who made it all possible including Rev Ray Stubbe, Ernie Spencer, and Tommy Eichler. And the hundreds of us who shared their experiences in writing and photos.
In upcoming Short Rounds, I will be telling the story of how this accomplishment unfolded. And thanking the many who made it possible.
