KSV News: Short Round 004
KSV Members Private Email
Using Our KSV Private (Email) Mailbox: admin@khesanh.vet
Amazingly, in our lifetimes, the digital world has migrated from punch cards to ubiquitous Internet and social media. When we were in Vietnam, large portions of our payrolls were processed with huge trays of 80 column punchcards. At that time, the biggest danger of computing disruption was dropping one of those trays (I did at HQMC).
In today’s world, we have to be incredibly cautious about allowing hackers, bad actors, and spam purveyors to get into our KSV communications links. To protect ourselves and the organization, we have determined that it is best to use a single portal for receiving all our member communications. That portal is our private email mailbox, which is an integral part of our website structure.
So, when you want, to communicate with someone in the administrative / official functions of KSV, your message traffic should be sent to (only) this admin email mailbox.
On the receiving end of your mail traffic, a group of volunteers will read each and every message coming into this mailbox and forward it to the proper person within the organization. For something important, they will promptly follow up to assure that your message has been received by that proper person.
After this initial vetting, both the sender and the recipient can follow up with personal communications of their choice.
Make A Note #1: Right now, before you forget, add admin@khesanh.vet to your Contacts management app. If this address is in your Contacts, any emails sent to you FROM this address will not bounce as spam.
Any of you that would like to help with this effort (hugely appreciated), or offer any suggestions, please contact us at (of course!!!) admin@khesanh.vet.
