Mr. Larry Edward Jackson, age 75, a resident of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Mr. Jackson was born June 11, 1949, in Eloise, Florida to Willie Linas and Vergie Mae (Vanzant) Jackson. He was a lifetime resident of Polk County, graduated from Winter Haven High School Class of 1966 and also graduated from Polk Community College with an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting. Larry was a retired Cabinetry Maker and attended the First Baptist Church of Imperial Lakes. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving in Vietnam where he was awarded 3 purple hearts and also a 32nd degree Mason. Larry enjoyed music, playing the banjo, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Kathleen Elaine “Kathy” Robey Jackson and brother – David Harold Jackson. Larry is survived by his loving family, son – Larry E. (Dorothy) Jackson of Auburndale, Florida; daughter – Lisa Leona (Dr. Claudio) Manubens of Windemere, Florida; sister – Karen (Samuel) Sanchez of Winter Haven, Florida; 4 stepsons – Michael (Kathleen) Wainwright of Tomsbore, Georgia, Ronald (Carrie) Hadgood of Tomsbore, Georgia, Mark (Teresa) Robey of Mulberry, Florida and Glenn (Marsha) Robey of Clearwater, Florida; 3 stepdaughters – Christine Hendricks of Plant City, Florida, Alice (Ryan) Kleinschmidt of Michigan and Lynda (Fred) Venable of North Carolina; sister in law – Sue Jackson of Eagle Lake, Florida; 26 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 5pm Monday, October 28th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 4pm at the funeral home. A reception will follow at The Barn at Azalea Oaks, .
