David G. Erickson

May 29, 1947 – September 6, 2026

Of Waupaca, age 79, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at his home. He was born in Milwaukee on May 29, 1947, to the late Glen and Irene (Koski) Erickson. Dave was a Sargeant in the Marine Corp, serving during Vietnam, a Khe Sanh Vet. On October 29, 1971 he married Donna Dobberpuhl. He was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church and a past member of the Waupaca School Board. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed introducing the foreign exchange students from the high school to fishing. He was also an Eagle Scout and Scout Master. He made the most of his retirement years, donating his time, and working on his woodworking projects.

He will be sadly missed by his wife: Donna; sons: Taag (Gabrielle) and Ty Erickson; granddaughters: Eleanor, Annika and Synnove; nieces: Cathy (David) Klibowitz, Carolyn (Paul) Dodulik, Chris (Mike) Guenther, Donna’s siblings: Dale (Judy) Dobberpuhl, Jane Eder, Darrell (Helen) Dobberpuhl, Lorie (Lloyd) Lemke, Joel (Norma) Dobberpuhl; special friends, Bryan and Stephanie Herro; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Erickson Borth, daughter-in-law, Kathey Erickson and brother-in-law, Donald Eder.
