Allan Archer

May 30, 1946 – June 24, 2023

Allan Edward Archer, 77, of Midland, passed away at Colonial Villa Saturday, June 24, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1946, in Bay City, son of the late George Archer and Daisy Davis. Allan grew up in Bay City, Michigan and attended Bay City Central High School and Delta College. Allan proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1966 until 1968. He earned several medals and honors from many operations. He was part of the 1/26th Battalion, Bravo Company, 3rd Platoon and loved all his brothers.

Allan worked for GM Powertrain in Bay City in Management until his retirement. He belonged to the American Legion and the Vietnam Veterans of America. On February 14, 2002, he married the former Elizabeth Ann Sequin in Midland. She survives him.  He was active in many sports activities including roller skating, running marathons, skiing, tennis, and riding bicycles with his wife Elizabeth. He was also a member of the Ski Patrol at Apple Mountain and past member of the Historic Second Baptist Church of Bay City. He loved all people and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his wife Elizabeth, he will be missed by his children, Tracy Allan Archer, Lily Skinner, and Kimberly (Brian) Shy; grandchildren, Penelope Shy, Mabel Shy, Raven Archer, Dante Archer, Jada Archer, Adonis Archer, and Jaleeah Archer; siblings, Burnell (Namon) Smith, Russell (Margaret) Davis, Laura Lynn Frankel, and Alinda Toy Davis. In addition to his parents, George Archer, and Daisy Davis. Allan was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Frost, and brothers, George Archer Sr., and Leroy Davis.
